A video has circulated on social media, purportedly released by Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan, claiming that he broke his silence and addressed social and political issues in the country.

Reviewing Amitabh Bachchan’s official social media accounts, including X, Instagram and Facebook, the NM team found no evidence of him posting the video in question. Moreover, his official blog Tumblr has also not contained any reference to the video.
A closer analysis of the video revealed multiple inconsistencies in the audio, which did not align with Amitabh Bachchan’s distinctive voice. These discrepancies raised suspicions that the audio might have been AI-generated.
