FACT CHECK
NewsMobile fact-checked the claim and found it to be false.
Upon closely analysing the viral video to verify PM’s statement, the NM team noticed that the voice and tone in the clip did not match PM Modi’s actual voice. Several comments in the video appeared to be edited.
Additionally, conducting a Reverse Image Search of the video keyframes, NewsMobile identified the original clip, dated June 7, 2024, uploaded on Narendra Modi’s official YouTube channel as well as on Sansad TV with a title “Shri Narendra Modi attends NDA Parliamentary Party Meeting”.
According to the video description, the meeting focused on promoting unity and fairness in PM Modi’s upcoming term and emphasised NDA’s commitment to the principle of “nation first” during the 2024 Lok Sabha General elections. PM Modi began his speech around the 1 hour and 5-minute mark, and at no point did he mention or make any remarks related to animal sacrifice on Bakrid.
Hence, it is clear that the audio in the viral video has been edited.
