Los Angeles is currently grappling with devastating wildfires that have resulted in at least 24 fatalities and destruction of over 12,000 structures. High winds and dry conditions are exacerbating the situation, complicating containment efforts. Authorities have issued red flag warnings, anticipating further spread and potential new ignitions. The economic impact is substantial, with damages estimated by $250 billion to $275 billion. Evacuation orders remain in effect for numerous residents.

FACT CHECKS
NewsMobile fact-checked the claim, and found it false.
Running the viral video keyframes through Reverse Image Search, the NM team did not find any credible report by media outlets. But analysing the viral post carefully, we found many users claiming that the video was AI-generated.
Further analysing the video keyframes by using the AI detection tool — Hive Moderation, we found it to be AI-generated.
To validate our findings further, we ran the viral video through another AI detection tool, which also confirmed that it was AI-generated.
Hence, it is clear that the viral video does not depict the actual wildfire in Los Angeles. And it has been artificially created.
