FACT CHECK
NewsMobile fact-checked the video in question, and found it to be AI-manipulated.
A close examination of the video revealed several irregularities, especially lip-sync discrepancies between the visuals and audio, which raised suspicions about the video’s authenticity.
Running the video keyframes through Reverse Image Search, the NM team traced the full original video to the official YouTube channel of MS Talkies. The video, dated October 28, 2024, features Amitabh Bachchan’s speech at the 2024 ANR (Akkineni Nageswara Rao) National Award ceremony. The award, instituted by the Akkineni International Foundation in 2005, honours exceptional contributions to Indian cinema.
In the original video, Bachchan spoke at length about Telugu cinema and praised actor Chiranjeevi, the recipient of the ANR Award. There was no reference to diabetes or any remedies, confirming that the viral clip was doctored.

A side-by-side comparison of the original and viral videos highlights identical visuals, but the audio and context were significantly altered in the doctored version.
Using TrueMedia’s advanced deepfake detection tool, we conducted a detailed analysis of the viral clip. The tool detected substantial AI-driven modifications, particularly in facial features, and confirmed that the audio was synthetically generated. [Detailed analysis can be seen here]

Therefore, the viral video claiming Amitabh Bachchan endorsed diabetes remedies is entirely fabricated.
