Many other mainstream news websites, including ABC News and The National, also published the video in 2021, informing that the visuals are from Tokyo, Japan.
Reportedly, at least two people were killed in the landslide in Atami, Japan, after a week of torrential rain in 2021. “A torrent of mud and rock cascaded onto a road in Shizokua province, sweeping away nearby houses in the small town 90 km south-west of Tokyo,” says The National News report.
Hence, from the above information, it is clear that the visuals are NOT from China, BUT Japan.
