A post has resurfaced on the social media claiming that the pictures are of Indian soldiers from Siachen Glacier.
“Night stay of Indian soldiers at Siachen glacier. Respect and salute to Indian army. Feel proud to share this picture, ” the text on the post read.
FACT CHECK
On putting the image through a reverse image search, we found the claim to be fake.
On putting the pictures through reverse image search, we found that the pictures are from Russia.
One of the pictures were traced back to the Russian site, that carried the article on war and media.
While the second picture was found on a Russian social media post dated back to 2013.
This proves that the pictures are from Russia.
