Has Union Minister Amit Shah been diagnosed with bone cancer? Here’s the truth

A screenshot of a tweet, attributed to Home Minister Amit Shah, is being shared on social media.

In the tweet, Shah is allegedly stating that he has been diagnosed with bone cancer. Along with this, he also urges the Muslim community to pray for him during the holy month of Ramadan.

NewsMobile fact-checked the post and found the claim to be fake.

We checked Union Minister, Amit Shah’s verified Twitter handle, where he has rubbished these rumours regarding his illness. In the statement, he stated that he is completely healthy and is not suffering from any disease.

“For the last few days, some people on social media are spreading some interesting rumors about my health. Some people have even tweeted about my death.”

He further stated, “The country is currently fighting a global pandemic, due to which, I did not pay attention to it as I was busy working till late at night. When it came to my notice, I did not respond to it to let people enjoy their creative imagination.”

“But millions of my party workers and my well-wishers have expressed concern over the last two days and  I cannot ignore their concern. That is why I want to clarify today that I am perfectly healthy and do not have any disease, ” he added.

We also noted that the viral tweet attributed to Amit Shah exceeds the word limit in a tweet.

 

The above information proves that the viral tweet is false.
