In the midsts of the ongoing conflict between India and Pakistan, a new claim is making rounds on Pakistan media and social media according to which Air Marshal Chandrashekharan Hari Kumar has been sacked after the Indian Air Force (IAF) lost its fighter aircraft to Pakistan in the recent standoff.
A Pakistani news channel carried a news story whose headline read: India sacks Air Marshal after heavy losses by PAF

Air Marshal Chandrashekharan Hari Kumar has been NOT sacked by Indian Air Force. He retired on 28 February 2019 after an illustrious career spanning over 39 years.

The verified twitter handles of the Indian Air Force and Press Information Bureau (PIB) confirmed the retirement of Air Marshal Chandrashekharan Hari Kumar.
The Air Marshal was commissioned in Flying Branch of Indian Air Force in the year 1979. He was a Qualified Flying Instructor and a Fighter Combat Leader having more than 3300 hours of flying to his credit.
He was awarded Param Vishisht Seva Medal, Ati Vishisht Seva Medal, Vayu Sena Medal, VishishtSeva Medal and appointed Honorary Air Force ADC to President of India on 01 Jan 2017.
