Following the demise of legendary playback singer Asha Bhosle on April 12, 2026, an image has gone viral on social media claiming to show Amitabh Bachchan, Mithun Chakraborty, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn standing in front of an ambulance, purportedly carrying her mortal remains during her final journey.

NewsMobile investigated the viral claim and found the image to be AI-generated and digitally fabricated.
A Reverse Image Search, along with a detailed keyword scan, did not yield any credible news reports, authentic photographs or official social media posts corroborating the claim. None of the actors seen in the viral image has shared such a picture on their verified social media handles. Additionally, no reputable media organisation has reported any such gathering.
A closer visual inspection of the image reveals multiple red flags typically associated with AI-generated content. These include inconsistent lighting and shadow patterns, unnatural facial blending, distorted hand structures, disproportionate body alignment and an unusually smooth, artificial-looking background — all common indicators of digital manipulation.
To further verify the claim, NewsMobile analysed the image using AI detection tools Sightengine and Hive Moderation. Both platforms flagged the image as AI-generated with a high probability score, confirming that the photograph is not authentic.
While the demise of Asha Bhosle has triggered widespread grief across the country, the viral image claiming to show several Bollywood actors paying tribute to her is not genuine. NewsMobile’s investigation establishes that the photograph is AI-generated and digitally fabricated.
