NewsMobile investigated the picture in question and found it to be AI-generated and digitally fabricated.
A Reverse Image Search, coupled with relevant keyword searches, did not yield any credible news reports, authentic photographs, or official social media posts corroborating the claim. Additionally, neither Vijay nor any of the individuals seen in the image has shared the picture on their verified social media accounts. No reputed media organisation has reported such an interaction.
A detailed examination of the image revealed multiple visual anomalies commonly associated with AI-generated content. These included inconsistent lighting and shadows, unnatural facial rendering, distorted hand features, disproportionate body structures, and an unusually smooth, artificial-looking background.
To further verify its authenticity, NewsMobile analysed the image using AI-detection tools, including Sightengine and Hive Moderation. Both platforms identified the picture as AI-generated with a high probability score, reinforcing that the viral image is not genuine.
In conclusion, the viral picture allegedly showing Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay posing with police personnel at a police station is AI-generated and digitally manipulated.
