A video showing two men dressed as Indian soldiers kneeling with their hands tied in front of armed personnel is being widely shared on social media with the claim that it depicts the Chinese Army detaining Indian soldiers along the India-China border in Arunachal Pradesh.
A Facebook user posted the viral post with the following caption:

NewsMobile investigated the viral post and found the claims to be false.
The claim comes amid renewed tensions along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) and recent allegations by the Naha Welfare Society (NWS) that Chinese forces have gradually encroached on Indian territory in parts of Arunachal Pradesh.
We closely examined the viral video and found several visual inconsistencies that raised doubts about its authenticity.
First, the two individuals portrayed as Indian soldiers appear to have nearly identical facial features, a common artefact seen in AI-generated videos. We also observed that the shoulder badges on their uniforms do not match the insignia used by the Indian Army.
Additionally, the Chinese flag displayed on the uniform of one of the armed personnel is disproportionately large compared to standard military patches. The faces of the other armed personnel also appear blurred and lack consistent facial details, another common characteristic of AI-generated content.
These anomalies suggested that the footage may have been created using artificial intelligence. To verify this, we analysed the video using two AI detection tools.
The AI detection platform Hive Moderation concluded that the video was 96.3% likely to be AI-generated.
We also tested the clip using Google’s SynthID detection tool, which indicated that the video had been generated or edited using Google’s AI technology.
We found no credible reports from the Indian Army, the Ministry of Defence, or any reliable news organisation confirming that Chinese forces had captured Indian soldiers in Arunachal Pradesh.
Therefore, we can conclusively say that the viral post, claiming to show Chinese Army detaining Indian soldiers along the India-China border in Arunachal Pradesh, is false.
