NM VERIFIED
NewsMobile verified the claim and found the image to be AI-generated.
Searching for more clarity over trial run of the Mira Bhayandar bridge, the NM team found no news/ sources supporting the claim. According to Money Control, the bridge is yet to be inaugurated, and no heavy or light vehicle has been allowed for trial runs on the bridge so far.
It is to be noted that for addressing the concerns related to the bridge design, the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) took to X on January 27, 2026, clarifying that the flyover does not suddenly narrow due to a design flaw. Instead, the transition from four lanes to two lanes has been planned based on existing road width constraints and future road network expansion. As per the authority, the flyover has been designed with two lanes from Bhayandar East and will connect to two lanes towards Bhayandar West in the future. The MMRDA also states that further connectivity plans are still underway.
