NewsMobile verified the claim and found that it is misleading.
The NM team initiated its verification through a reverse image search of keyframes from the viral video. The search led us to an X post shared by NDTV on 7 July 2026, which carried the same video and identified it as visuals of a major landslide in Wayanad, Kerala, following heavy rainfall.

Further, an NDTV report published on the same day stated that the landslide occurred near the Anakkampoyil-Kalladi tunnel road project site in Wayanad. The incident reportedly resulted in five deaths, while four people were missing and 10 others were injured.
We also found that News18 Kerala had shared the same video on 7 July 2026, identifying it as footage of the Wayanad landslide.
Hence, it is evident that the viral video showing a landslide in Wayanad, Kerala, is being falsely shared as recent visuals of the flash floods in Nepal.
