The picture shows a man resembling Sengar standing near what appears to be the jail gate, surrounded by a group of people holding flower garlands, suggesting a warm reception.

NewsMobile verified the claim and found the image to be AI-generated.
Running the viral picture through Reverse Image Search, the NM team found no credible media outlet/sources carrying the same image. However, a NDTV report, dated December 24, 2025, states that former MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar, convicted in the Unnao rape case, may have been granted conditional bail by the Delhi High Court. The report has also mentioned that Sengar would not be released from jail immediately, as he has already been convicted in another serious case. While the court granted him conditional bail, including the submission of a personal bond of ₹15 lakh, it did not amount to his release from Tihar Jail.
NewsMobile also found no credible media reports suggesting that Sengar had come out of jail or that he was welcomed by supporters outside Tihar Jail. On closely examining the viral image, several visual inconsistencies were observed. The hand of a person standing beside Sengar appeared distorted, and two police personnel in the image looked unusually identical. We also noticed a Gemini AI watermark at the bottom corner of the image, indicating possible use of artificial intelligence.
Additionally, an AI detection tool — Hive Moderation — confirms that the image is 99.9% AI-generated.
Hence, we can conclusively say that the viral picture showing Kuldeep Singh Sengar being welcomed outside Tihar Jail after his release is artificially generated.
