NM VERIFIED
NewsMobile investigated the viral post and found the claims to be false.
To verify the claim, we conducted a reverse image search using keyframes from the first viral video. This led us to a post published on June 23, 2026, by the news outlet Dimapur Today.

According to the post, the footage is from June 22 and shows clashes between Kuki protesters and security forces in Kangpokpi district, Manipur, not Arunachal Pradesh.
Further investigation led us to a report published on June 22 by India Today North East, which carried visuals matching the viral video.

The report stated that residents were protesting against what they alleged were biased search operations conducted by security forces in Kuki-dominated areas. During the protest, security personnel fired warning shots into the air in an attempt to disperse the crowd, triggering panic. According to the report, at least three people were seriously injured during the clashes.
We found no evidence linking the video to the India-China border or to any alleged Chinese military incursion into Arunachal Pradesh. We also found no credible reports from the Indian Army, the Ministry of Defence, or other reliable news organisations confirming that Chinese troops had advanced 60 kilometres into Indian territory.
Therefore, we can conclusively say that the viral post, claiming to show Chinese troops infiltrating Arunachal Pradesh and advancing nearly 60 kilometres into Indian territory, is false.
