A video showing a young girl crying and narrating her ordeal is being widely shared on social media with the claim that she is the Class 10 student who was allegedly molested and harassed in Bihar’s Jamui district on September 19, 2026.
A Facebook user posted the viral post with the following caption:
She is being identified as the victim from Jamui… she is asking to share to show support.

NM VERIFIED
NewsMobile fact-checked the viral post and found the claims to be false.
To verify the video, we conducted a reverse image search using its keyframes. The search led us to an Instagram account named @sweet_zannat_12374, where the same video was uploaded on November 15, 2025.

This confirms that the footage had been available online for around 10 months before the alleged molestation incident in Jamui on September 19, 2026.
In the original video, the girl does not mention the Jamui case. Instead, she alleges that two boys from a neighbouring village had used Artificial Intelligence (AI) to create an objectionable video of her.
We also found another video on the same Instagram account showing the girl alongside the two boys whom she had accused of creating the objectionable content.
Further examination of the account led us to multiple videos in which the girl identifies herself as being from Meghalaya, further establishing that the footage is unrelated to the recent incident in Bihar.
We also found a clarification issued by Jamui Police in response to a social media post carrying the viral video. The police categorically stated that the girl seen in the clip is not the survivor in the Jamui molestation case.

The police also urged social media users not to share, repost or circulate unverified videos, photographs or misleading information that could compromise an individual’s identity and privacy.
Therefore, we can conclusively say that the viral post, claiming to show the video of the Class 10 student who was allegedly molested and harassed in Bihar’s Jamui district, is false.
