NewsMobile investigated the viral claim and found the image to be AI-generated and digitally fabricated.
A reverse image search of the viral picture, along with an extensive keyword search, found no credible news reports, authentic photographs, or official social media posts supporting the claim. None of the individuals featured in the image has shared such a photograph on their verified social media accounts. Moreover, no reputable media organisation has reported any meeting involving Sachin Tendulkar, Sara Tendulkar, Shubman Gill, and Dhirendra Shastri as depicted in the viral image.
A closer visual examination also reveals several telltale signs of AI-generated content. These include inconsistent lighting and shadow patterns, unnatural facial blending, distorted hand structures, disproportionate body positioning, and an overly smooth, artificial-looking background. Such visual anomalies are common indicators of AI-generated or digitally manipulated images.
To further verify the claim, NewsMobile analysed the image using AI-detection tools Sightengine and Hive Moderation. Both tools identified the image as AI-generated with a high probability score, confirming that the viral photograph is not authentic.
