An image purportedly showing Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Abhijeet Dipak, Sam Pitroda, American investor George Soros, climate activist Greta Thunberg and banned Sikhs for Justice founder Gurpatwant Singh Pannu together is being widely shared on social media. Users are sharing the image with the claim that all of them were part of the same network supporting the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) protest over the NEET paper leak issue and were working together against India’s interests.

The NM team initiated its verification by running the viral image through a reverse image search and found no credible news reports, official records or authentic photographs showing Rahul Gandhi and Abhijeet Dipak meeting George Soros, Greta Thunberg or Gurpatwant Singh Pannu. While Rahul Gandhi had criticised the police action during the CJP-led student protests, no evidence was found to suggest that he or Abhijeet Dipak had ever attended such a meeting with the other individuals seen in the viral image.
A closer examination of the image revealed several visual inconsistencies commonly associated with AI-generated content. The facial features appear unnaturally blended, lighting and shadows are inconsistent across the subjects, body proportions look distorted, and the overall composition lacks the natural depth and coherence expected in an authentic photograph. These anomalies strongly indicate that the image was artificially generated.
To confirm the findings, the image was analysed using the AI detection tool Hive Moderation, which found that the viral image is AI-generated.
The viral image is AI-generated and is falsely being shared as a genuine photograph linking Rahul Gandhi, Abhijeet Dipak, George Soros, Greta Thunberg and Gurpatwant Singh Pannu. No credible evidence supports the viral claim.
