A video is being widely shared on social media, purportedly showing Bollywood superstar Salman Khan lying on a hospital bed.
In the viral clip, Salman is heard claiming that his condition is critical and urging his fans to follow a new social media account.

NewsMobile investigated the viral video and found it to be AI-generated and digitally manipulated.
A reverse image search of multiple keyframes from the video, along with relevant keyword searches, found no credible evidence to support the claim. NewsMobile could not find any verified video, official social media post or credible media report showing Salman Khan in the manner depicted in the viral clip. Salman Khan has also not shared the video on his verified social media accounts.
A frame-by-frame analysis of the footage revealed several tell-tale signs of AI manipulation, including unnatural facial features, inaccurate lip-sync, distorted body movements, inconsistent body proportions, and irregular lighting and shadows. The background also appears unusually smooth and lacks realistic depth and texture.
To further verify the claim, NewsMobile analysed the footage using Hive Moderation, an AI detection tool. The tool flagged the video as AI-generated with a high probability, providing further evidence that the viral footage has been digitally fabricated.
In conclusion, the viral video claiming to show Salman Khan in critical condition is fake and AI-generated.
