Following the violence during the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP)’s Parliament march on July 20, 2026, several old videos have resurfaced on social media with misleading claims. One such viral clip shows a boy striking a police officer in the face with his shoe before fleeing the scene. Social media users are claiming that the incident occurred during the recent Parliament march in Delhi.
The video shows a crowded street where a police officer kicks a boy lying on the road. The boy quickly gets up, hits the officer in the face with his shoe, and runs away while the policeman chases him.
A Facebook user posted the viral post with the following caption:
प्रदर्शन, छात्र, पुलिस और एक तमाचा 😂 ये ठुल्ले को लड़के की शक्ल आजीवन याद रहेगी 😂😂

NewsMobile investigated the viral post and found the claims to be false.
To verify the claim, we closely examined the video and noticed the words “STET” and “Bihar” appearing in the footage, suggesting that it could be related to protests over the State Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) in Bihar.
We then conducted a reverse image search using keyframes from the viral clip. This led us to a YouTube upload published on August 16, 2025, where the same video was identified as footage from protests by STET candidates in Patna, Bihar.
Further searches revealed that the Jan Suraj Party also shared the same clip on August 7, 2025, criticising the Bihar government over the police action against protesters.
We also found an Aaj Tak report published on August 7, 2025, which used a screenshot from the viral video. According to the report, hundreds of STET candidates had gathered near JP Golambar in Patna to demand that the State Teacher Eligibility Test be conducted before the Teacher Recruitment Examination-4 (TRE-4). The demonstration caused heavy traffic congestion, and police eventually resorted to a lathi-charge after protesters allegedly refused to disperse despite repeated warnings.
Ground reports by Bihar Tak and Darsh News also documented the same protest and police action from the scene.
Meanwhile, according to The Indian Express, citing Delhi Police, 118 police personnel were injured during the Cockroach Janata Party’s Parliament march in July 2026. However, there is no evidence linking the viral shoe-slapping video to that protest.
Therefore, we can conclusively say that the viral post claiming to show a boy striking a police officer in the face with his shoe before fleeing the scene during the recent Parliament march in Delhi is false.
