A picture has surfaced on social media purportedly showing Amitabh Bachchan alongside Jaya Bachchan, Shweta Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Aaradhya Bachchan, performing a puja.

NewsMobile investigated the viral image and found it to be AI-generated.
A reverse image search, along with a detailed keyword scan, did not yield any credible news reports, authentic photographs or official social media posts corroborating the claim. None of the Bachchan family members seen in the viral image has shared such a picture on their verified social media handles, nor has any reputable media organisation reported such an event.
A closer examination of the image reveals multiple tell-tale signs of AI manipulation, including inconsistent lighting and shadow directions, unnatural facial blending, distorted hand structures, disproportionate body alignment, and an overly smooth, synthetic-looking background.
To further verify its authenticity, NewsMobile analysed the image using AI detection tools — Sightengine and Hive Moderation. Both platforms flagged the image as AI-generated with a high probability score.
The viral image claiming to show the Bachchan family performing a puja is digitally fabricated. There is no credible evidence or official confirmation to support the claim, and multiple indicators — including visual inconsistencies and AI detection tools — confirm that the image has been generated using artificial intelligence.
