Following the third ODI against New Zealand, a picture circulating widely on social media claims to show Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma touching the feet of her husband, Indian cricketer Virat Kohli.

NewsMobile investigated the picture in question and found that the viral image was AI-generated.
A detailed reverse image search, along with keyword-based checks, found no credible media reports, authentic photographs, or official social media posts supporting the claim. Notably, neither Virat Kohli nor Anushka Sharma shared any such images on their verified social media handles.
A closer examination of the picture reveals multiple red flags indicative of AI manipulation, including inconsistent lighting, unnatural facial blending, and overly smooth, artificial-looking background textures—common markers of digitally fabricated imagery.
To further verify the findings, NewsMobile analysed the image using AI-detection tools Sightengine and Hive Moderation. Both platforms flagged the visuals as AI-generated, conclusively confirming that the image in fabricated.
In conclusion, the viral image claiming to show Anushka Sharma touching Virat Kohli’s feet is fake and digitally created using AI tools.
