NM VERIFIED

NewsMobile verified the claim and found that the image is AI-generated.

The NM team initiated its verification by conducting a keyword search to locate any authentic records or historical references to the purported 1947 India-Pakistan agreement. However, the search did not yield any credible reports, government archives, historical records, or reputable sources containing the same document.

A closer examination of the viral image revealed several inconsistencies. The document displayed unnatural-looking edges and visual artefacts typically associated with AI-generated images. Additionally, a visible Gemini watermark appeared along the side of the document, strongly indicating that it had been created using Google’s AI image generation tool rather than being an authentic historical record.

For further confirmation, the image was analysed using Hive Moderation, an AI content detection tool. The analysis identified the document as AI-generated.

Hence, it is evident that the viral image claiming to show the original 1947 India-Pakistan Partition agreement is AI-generated and does not depict an authentic historical document.
