Some users sharing the video claim that it shows an entire village in Nepal, allegedly inhabited by illegal immigrants, being set on fire and reduced to ashes.
A Facebook user posted the viral post with the following caption:

To verify the claim, we conducted a reverse image search using keyframes from the viral video. This led us to the YouTube channel of TRT Haber, a Turkish news outlet, which uploaded the same footage on July 29, 2026. According to the accompanying caption, the video shows a forest fire in Muğla, Turkey.
Further searches led us to a report published by Turkish news outlet NTV on the same day, which also featured the viral footage. According to the report, a fire that initially broke out in an agricultural field in the Seydikemer district of Muğla spread into a nearby forest due to strong winds, rapidly turning into a large-scale wildfire.
Reports citing the Muğla Governor’s Office stated that authorities deployed five aircraft, 18 helicopters and 93 fire engines to fight the blaze. More than 800 personnel were reportedly involved in the firefighting operation.
These details establish that the viral video was recorded in Muğla, Turkey, and has no connection to the recent communal unrest in Nepal.
Therefore, we can conclusively say that the viral post, claiming to show a massive fire burning an entire village in Nepal, allegedly inhabited by illegal immigrants, is false.
