To verify the claim, the NM team conducted a reverse image search of keyframes from the viral video and found the same clip posted on X by news agency IANS. According to the IANS post, the video shows BJP leaders paying homage to party founders Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya at the BJP headquarters.
Upon reviewing the full video, it is evident that Prime Minister Modi places his hand on Nitin Nabin’s back to gesture for him to offer flowers first. After Nabin completes the floral tribute, Prime Minister Modi proceeds to offer flowers at the statues of Dr Mukherjee and Pandit Upadhyaya.
