NM VERIFIED
NewsMobile verified the claim and found that the image is AI-generated.
The NM team initiated its verification by running a keyword search using terms such as “Giorgia Meloni,” “UN event” and “Palestinian flag.” However, we could not find any credible news reports confirming that such an incident took place.
Upon closely examining the viral video, we noticed several visual inconsistencies. The United Nations logo visible in the background appears distorted, raising questions about the authenticity of the footage.
To further verify the video, we analysed it using Hive Moderation, an AI-detection tool, to check for signs of artificial intelligence-generated content. The analysis was conducted to determine whether the footage contained characteristics associated with AI-generated media.
The findings, along with the absence of credible reports about the alleged incident and the visual inconsistencies in the video, indicate that the footage is not authentic.
Hence, it is evident that the viral video is AI-generated and does not show a real incident involving Giorgia Meloni carrying a Palestinian flag at a UN event.
