A 29-year-old Indian engineer from Kerala tragically lost his life during a scuba diving session at Dubai’s Jumeirah Beach on Friday. The incident occurred while he was spending the Eid al-Adha holiday with his family, local media reports confirmed.
The victim, identified as Issac Paul Olakkengil, reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest after experiencing breathing difficulties underwater during a training session in a designated scuba diving zone. Despite immediate efforts to rescue him, he could not be revived.
Issac was a resident engineer in the UAE and had been living there for work. His sudden death has left the Indian expatriate community and his loved ones in deep shock, especially during a time meant for celebration.
