The UK police are actively searching for Pankaj Lamba, an Indian-origin man suspected of killing his 24-year-old wife, Harshita Brella, whose body was found in the boot of a car in east London. Investigators believe Lamba fled the country shortly after committing the alleged crime earlier this month.
According to the Northamptonshire Police, more than 60 detectives are actively working on the case, which they suspect began in Northamptonshire, where Harshita was allegedly killed. Harshita Brella Murder Case
The investigation began last Wednesday when police received a welfare call about Harshita. Officers were dispatched to her home in Corby, but found no response, leading to the launch of a missing person inquiry.
Within hours, detectives discovered her body in the boot of a car on Brisbane Road in Ilford during the early hours of Thursday. The vehicle’s discovery marked a grim turn in the investigation, with police confirming it as a targeted killing.
A post-mortem examination was conducted on Friday at Leicester Royal Infirmary, while detectives continue to explore the connection between Harshita’s disappearance in Northamptonshire and the discovery of her body in London, nearly 150 kilometers away.
The police have released an image of Pankaj Lamba as part of their manhunt and are appealing to the public for assistance in locating him. Authorities confirmed that Lamba is believed to have left the UK, complicating efforts to bring him to justice.
