Major bureaucratic reshuffle by central government

New Delhi: In a major bureaucratic reshuffle, the central government has affected reshuffle of as many as 14 posts at Joint Secretary level.

According to reports, Saurabh Kumar Tiwari (IP&TA&FS:1993) has been appointed Joint Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat, for a tenure of five years vice Shubha Kumar (IA&AS:1985).

Pushpendra Rajput (lAS:1999: HP) appointed Additional Secretary (JS level), UPSC under the Department of Personnel & Training for a tenure of five years vice R C Joshi (IAS:1994:AM).

Praveen Bonigala (IFoS:1995:RJ) appointed Joint Secretary, Department of Commerce for a period ending 21 June 2019 vice Ms. Anita Praveen (IAS:1989:TN).

Amitabh Kharkwal (IPoS:1989) appointed Joint Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs for a tenure of five years. He replaces Gyanesh Kumar (lAS:1988:KL) consequent on his elevation as Additional Secretary in MHA.

Subrata Nath (IRSME:1991) appointed ADG (JS level), National Museum under the Ministry of Culture for a tenure of five years vice R K Mishra (IFoS:1990: PB).

Nihar Ranjan Dash (IRSEE:1989) appointed Joint Secretary, Ministry of Textiles for a tenure upto his superannuation on 30 November 2021 vice Madhukar Reddy (IRTS:1987).

Rajbir Singh Panwar (IFoS:1991:GJ) appointed Joint Secretary, Department of Agriculture, Cooperation & Farmers for an overall tenure of five years ending 22 March 2020. He replaces B Kishore (lAS:1993:AP) who is retiring this month end.

Nikunj K Sundaray (IAS:1987:OR) appointed Joint Secretary & CEO, National Trust for the Welfare of Persons with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Mental Retardation and Multiple Disabilities under the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, on lateral shift basis, for an overall tenure of five years ending 31 August 2021. He replaces Mukesh Jain (IPS:1989:MP).

Prakash Mirani (IRSS:1989) appointed Additional CEO (JS level), GeM SPV under the Department of Commerce for a tenure of five years.

Pradeep Kumar (IFoS:1995:SK) appointed DDG, UIDAI for a combined tenure of seven years vice Shishir Sinha (IOFS:1988).

Parag Gupta (IAS:1988:OR) appointed Adviser (JS level), NITI Aayog, on lateral shift basis, for an overall tenure of five years ending 29 June 2020. vice Ravinder Goyal, IRTS (1987). Currently he serves as JS, Department of Food Processing Industries.

Reema Prakash (IA&AS:1991) appointed Joint Secretary, Department of Food Processing Industries for a tenure of five years vice Parag Gupta (IAS:1988:OR).

Geeta Menon (IA&AS:1992) appointed Joint Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change for a tenure of five years vice Nikunj K Sundaray (lAS:1987).

A Asholi Chalai (CSS) appointed Joint Secretary, National Commission for Women under the Ministry of Women & Child Development for a tenure of five years vice K L Sharma (CSS).
