Reacting to the incident on social media platform X, Dhawan shared his sadness over the tragedy. He wrote that it was heartbreaking to see such violence erupt from something so small and stressed that humanity should never fall to this level. The former opener also extended his prayers to the victim’s family and called for strict punishment for those responsible.
According to reports, the clash began when a child threw a water balloon during Holi festivities, and the splash accidentally hit a woman walking through the street. What started as a small misunderstanding soon escalated into a serious confrontation between two families in the JJ Colony area. During the clash, 26-year-old Tarun Kumar lost his life, leaving the community shocked and grieving.
