“Comeback is always stronger than the setback” – Following this philosophy – Ridhima an 8-year girl from Bangalore, Karnataka demonstrated great grit and character on the Day 2 of the Indian Golf Union – South Zone Sub Junior Golf Tournament, held at Coimbatore Golf Course on 18th & 19th April and won in a second playoff with an eagle to seal the victory. She concluded with a Day 1 score of 40 and a Day 2 score of 39. She was rewarded as the winner in E category girls and a gold medal by Indian Golf Union Governing Council member Mr. Shyam Sundar.
She continued her winning momentum in the Indian Golf Union – South Zone Sub Junior Golf Tournament, held at Kodaikanal Golf Course on 22nd & 23rd` April with a Day 1 score of 37 and Day 2 score of 36 and emerged as winner in the E Category Girls and was awarded a Gold medal.
The final leg of Indian Golf Union – South Zone Sub Junior Golf tournament was held at the Nilgiris at Ooty Golf Course on 26th and 27th April’2023 . Ridhima continued her winning streak here to emerging as a winner in E Category Girls with a Day 1 score of 44 and Day 2 score of 45 and was awarded a gold medal by Mr Junaid Ali Sait of Ootacamund Gymkhana Club.
Ridhima is a class II K girl from Delhi Public School Bengaluru and is getting trained in To The Tee Academy by Coach Raheem and Coach Arif . Coach Raheem identified her talent and encouraged her to participate in Golf tournaments . She is working hard to get an Olympic Gold for Indian in Golf.
The Indian Golf Union South zone tour is conducted by Mr. Jayanan Satagopal and more than 200 golfers from around south india participate in it . Some of the best golfers from India like Aditi Ashok , Pranavi Urs , Khalin Joshi & Avani Prashanth has come out of this feeder tour.
