Manchester City’s Premier League title hopes suffered a setback after a dramatic 3-3 draw against Everton, with Jeremy Doku scoring a stoppage-time equaliser to rescue a point.
City appeared in control after Doku’s 43rd-minute opener, but Everton turned the game on its head in the second half. Thierno Barry struck twice, while Jake O’Brien added another to give the hosts a stunning 3-1 lead.
Erling Haaland pulled one back in the 83rd minute to keep City alive before Jérémy Doku produced a sensational long-range strike in the 97th minute to level the scores.
The result leaves City second in the Premier League standings on 71 points, trailing leaders Arsenal, who sit on 76. Manchester United remain third with 64 points, while Liverpool and Aston Villa follow.
City manager Pep Guardiola admitted the title race may now be slipping away, with only a handful of matches remaining.
While City extended their unbeaten run to 12 games, the dropped points against a mid-table Everton side could prove costly, as the title race enters its decisive phase.
