Kylian Mbappe was among the scorers as Real Madrid defeated Schalke 3-0 in their final pre-season friendly, with new signing Yan Diomande also making his club debut.
Mbappe opened the scoring in the fifth minute after a defensive error from Schalke. Dean Huijsen doubled Real Madrid’s advantage with a header 15 minutes later, while substitute Espi completed the scoring in the second half.
The victory extended Jose Mourinho’s unbeaten pre-season run, with Real Madrid winning all four of their friendly matches ahead of their La Liga opener against Espanyol next Saturday.
Summer signings Ibrahima Konate and Bernardo Silva started the match, while Marc Cucurella, Denzel Dumfries, Espi and Diomande began on the bench.
Mourinho said the team was showing progress but acknowledged that some new arrivals were still adapting to the intensity of the squad.
“It was positive as a team, and positive individually,” Mourinho said.
Jude Bellingham, who joined the squad on Wednesday, also featured after coming on for the second half.
Cucurella, another new signing, made his first appearance for the club and said he was pleased to get minutes ahead of the new league campaign.
Real Madrid will now turn their attention to the La Liga season, with their opening fixture against Espanyol scheduled for next Saturday.
