New Delhi: India’s batting stalwarts Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli added another milestone to their illustrious careers on Sunday, becoming the first Indian pair to feature together in 400 international matches.
The landmark was achieved when the two batting greats took the field for the third and final ODI against England at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground.

Highlighting the achievement, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) wrote on X:
“Another massive feat for an iconic duo. #TeamIndia greats Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli become the first Indian pair to play 400 international matches together.”
Having retired from T20Is and Test cricket, Rohit and Kohli now continue their international careers only in the ODI format.
Virat Kohli has scored 28,285 international runs across 562 matches in all formats, placing him among the top three highest run-scorers in cricket history.
Rohit Sharma has accumulated 20,289 international runs in 514 matches, underlining his significant contribution to Indian cricket.
Together, the two batters have amassed 48,574 international runs and 135 centuries, playing a major role in India’s success across formats for more than a decade.
In the match, England captain Harry Brook won the toss and elected to bat first in the series-deciding ODI at Lord’s.
India suffered an early setback before the contest, with pace bowler Jasprit Bumrah ruled out due to a knee injury.
