As many as five people have been killed and at least five others were injured in a collision between multiple vehicles on Mumbai-Pune Expressway near Khopoli last night.
The injured were taken to a nearby hospital. Police officials are currently investigating the cause of the accident. More details are awaited.
This is the second major road accident that has happened within two days in Maharashtra.

On Monday, as many as 16 people lost their lives, and two others were injured after a vehicle overturned at Jalgaon district on Sunday night, the police informed.
