‘Aaj Salem Ka Mera Ramesh Nahi Hai…,’ PM Modi Gets Emotional At Tamil Nadu Rally


Salem: Prime Minister Narendra Modi got emotional on Tuesday while remembering BJPN state general secretary auditor V Ramesh who was allegedly killed in Tamil Nadu’s Salem in 2013.

While addressing a public rally in Tamil Nadu’s Salem, the Prime Minister mentioned that V Ramesh worked Day and Night for the party and was a dedicated leader of the BJP. He was a great orator and a hardworking man and he paid his homage to him.

The Prime Minister also praised KN Lakshmanan, the former president of the Tamil Nadu BJP, for his outstanding contribution to the anti-emergency fight.

KN Lakshmanan passed away due to age-related problems at his residence in Sevaipettai in Selam in June 2020. He added that his government is leaving no stone unturned to ensure the development of Tamil Nadu. From free medical treatment to providing tap water connections in homes, from free ration facilities to benefiting women of Tamil Nadu through MUDRA Yojana, we have ensured to give the best, to serve the best” PM Modi added.

PM Modi was confident that Tamil Nadu would show faith in the BJP in the 2024 Lok Sabha Polls. PM said that Tamil Nadu has decided that on April 19 every person in the state will vote for BJP and NDA. Tamil Nadu has decided that the BJP will cross 400.

The Secular Progressive Alliance, led by Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam and consisting of INC, VCK, MDMK, CPI, CPI(M), IUML, MMK, KMDK, TVK, and AIFB, won 38 out of 39 seats in the 2019 elections, registering a landslide victory. With a 33.2 % vote share, the DMK secured 23 Lok Sabha seats in 2019, while the Congress secured 8 seats with a 12.9% vote percentage, and the CPI secured two seats in Tamil Nadu. On April 19, voting on all 39 Lok Sabha seats in Tamil Nadu will take place in Phase 1.
