Asian Games: 16 yr old Saurabh Chaudhary wins gold in 10m Air Pistol

The 16 year-old Indian shooter Saurabh Chaudhary bagged a gold in the 10m air pistol event in the Asian Games on Tuesday. Chaudhary also set an Asian Games record of scoring the highest number of points at the event.

On the fourth day of the 18th Asian Games, India bagged three more medals in the first half of the day taking the total medal tally to eight.

While Sanjeev Rajput won silver for the country in 50m Rifle 3 Positions event, Abhishek Verma, settled for a bronze medal in the 10m air pistol event. While Chaudhary topped the score chart by posting 240.7 points, Abhishek Verma claimed the third position with a total score of 219.3 points. Tomoyuki Matsuda of Japan finished second on the podium with 239.7 points.

India’s total medal tally at the ongoing 18th edition of the prestigious event now stands at eight with three gold, three silver and two bronze.
