After a brief pause, the 18th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 will resume on May 17, as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed the revised schedule for the remaining 17 fixtures.
The announcement came late Monday night following consultations with the government, security agencies, and other stakeholders. The BCCI has assured that all necessary measures will be in place to ensure the safe continuation of the season.
A total of 17 matches will be played across six selected venues, with the season concluding on June 3. The revised schedule also includes two double-headers on consecutive Sundays.
The six venues where the remaining fixtures will take place are Bengaluru, Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow, Mumbai, and Ahmedabad. Notably, Eden Gardens in Kolkata, which was initially set to host the final, is not part of the revised list.
