The British Prime Minister’s Office on Friday evening announced that British Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab will take over as the Acting Prime Minister if Boris Johnson is unable to work during his period of quarantine.
Earlier in the day, the British Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced in a video that based on exhibiting certain symptoms related to the Coronavirus, he had undergone a test, the results of which are positive.

The Prime Minister, however, confirmed that he will be leading the country from the Downing Street through the various technological interventions such as video- conferencing.
However, in accordance with well established parliamentary democratic norms, the PMO has gone ahead and announced an Acting PM.
The Acting PM will only function if they incumbent Prime Minister is unable to function due to illness or any other reason.
He/ she will have the same powers as the PM and will function during the period of absence.
Dominic Raab is the Foreign Secretary presently and is a senior member of the Conservative Party in Britain.
Earlier Prince Charles and Health Secretary Matt Hancock too have tested positive for the virus in Britain.
