UK Prime Minister Theresa May, on Friday, announced her resignation. In a speech at Downing Street, England, she announced that she will step down as Conservative Party leader on 7 June.
She broke down as she said that serving as Britain’s second female prime minister was ‘the honour of my life’.

According to reports, this decision comes as she was under immense pressure to quit after a backlash from her own MPs against her Brexit plan.
“It is and will always remain a matter of deep regret to me that I have not been able to deliver Brexit.”, she however admitted.
