BSE Sensex hit a new high as it jumped 129 points and hit 41,480.91 in early trade on Wednesday. The top gainers included TCS, HDFC, Infosys and RIL amid the foreign fund inflow.
While the Nifty also reached its high point of 12,199.05 in the morning session and traded 19.55 points or 0.16% higher at 12,184.55.

Tata Motors was the top gainer in BSE Sensex which jumped to 1.86% and was followed by Tech Mahindra, Tata Steel and M&M.
The top losers in the Sensex pack emerged to be HUL at 1.45% and was followed by ICICI Bank, ONGC and Yes Bank.
The trade was influenced mainly by foreign fund inflow according to the traders. Also, ahead of the GST Council meet investors were optimistic for a positive impact.
The rupee depreciated 9 paise to 71.08 against the US dollar on Wednesday.
