Desserts You Must Try This Holi To Satiate Your Sweet Tooth

Date:

The festival of Holi is around the corner and it is all about celebrating with friends and family along with food. It is the time of the year when you prepare the menu and families gather together to have sweets and good food. In almost every home, gujiyas or laddoos are made in almost every household.

During the festival, friends, and relatives visit your home so you need to keep some delicacies ready. Here are a few options which you must try this Holi.

Shakarpara

Shakarpara serves both as snacks and dessert, and you can make them with jaggery for a different flavour.  The dish is made with ingredients like wheat flour and sugar or salt – different versions. The dish can be served as a snack with tea or post having lunch or dinner.

Besan Laddoo

The dessert is simple enough to make and uses mawa which is mostly adulterated during festivals, still, it won’t make much of a difference. Once made, the laddoos can be stored for a while.

Bhang Gujiya

The festival of Holi is not complete without a little ‘Bhaang’. While some families traditionally make bhaang thandai at home, others try and mix a little bhaang in the traditional sweet – Gujiya.

Coconut Laddoo

This is one of the simplest recipes you can try this Holi. Grated coconut, mixed with sugar and condensed milk or normal milk – that’s all you need for this dessert. The cooking time is also lesser than other desserts and it is a classic ‘mithai’ that most people enjoy.
