President Donald Trump made headlines at the Gaza Summit in Egypt after publicly complimenting Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, calling her “a beautiful woman.”
The remark came moments after Trump signed “The Trump Declaration for Enduring Peace and Prosperity” for Gaza, a key agreement aimed at promoting regional stability.
While addressing the media and global leaders, Trump said, “I’m not allowed to say it because usually it’s the end of your political career if you say it she’s a beautiful woman.” He added with a smile, “If you use the word ‘beautiful’ in the United States about a woman, that’s the end of your political career, but I’ll take my chances.”
Turning to Meloni, he asked, “You don’t mind being called beautiful, right? Because you are.” The Italian leader laughed off the comment as the audience joined in light applause. Trump went on to describe her as “an incredible leader” and praised her efforts to attend the summit. “She’s respected in Italy, very successful, and an amazing politician,” he added.
