During his visit, EAM Jaishankar is set to travel to Fiuggi, where he will participate in the Outreach session of the G7 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting. India has been invited as a guest country to the session, marking a significant diplomatic engagement. Jaishankar is also expected to meet his counterparts from Italy and other participating G7 nations, engaging in bilateral discussions and contributing to broader G7-related dialogues.
Additionally, the EAM will take part in the 10th edition of the MED Mediterranean Dialogue, organized by the Institute for International Political Studies (ISPI) in collaboration with Italy’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
As part of the visit, Jaishankar will inaugurate the new Embassy of India premises in Rome, further enhancing diplomatic ties between India and Italy. This trip follows Jaishankar’s earlier bilateral visit to Italy in November 2023, during which he and Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani reviewed the Strategic Partnership and signed key agreements, including the Migration and Mobility Partnership and the Executive Programme on Cultural Cooperation (2023-27).
