External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar met with Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever on Tuesday, reinforcing India’s commitment to strengthening ties with Belgium across sectors such as defence, security, trade, and technology.
During his meeting with the Belgian Prime Minister, EAM Jaishankar conveyed the warm regards of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and discussed expanding bilateral cooperation in key areas including clean energy, investment, innovation, and the semiconductor sector.

The External Affairs Minister also had the honour of meeting King Philippe of Belgium, where the focus remained on fostering closer ties between the two nations. Adding to the diplomatic momentum, the External Affairs Minister held talks with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, who praised the growing strength of the India-EU strategic partnership. Their discussions come at a time when both sides are looking to build resilient supply chains and enhance cooperation in global and regional matters.
