The 32-year old constable who shot the wife and son of a Gurugram District judge in broad daylight on Saturday had a strained marital life and had a guru and a guru ma who appeared to have a big influence on him, investigators revealed. The police are looking for them now.
Judge Krishna Kant Sharma’s wife Ritu, 38, bled to death after she was shot in the chest by her husband’s personal security officer (PSO). Their 18-year-old son Dhruv, was also shot at by the same constable near Arcadia Market in Sector 49, Gurugram, on Saturday afternoon, is in a critical condition.

- Eyewitnesses say the PSO, Mahipal Singh, used his service revolver to first shoot the judge’s wife and then the son from close range.
- After the incident, police say, he made a chilling phone call to his employer, ‘I have shot your wife and son.’
- He had also dialed his mother and a few others from the car to tell them about the crime.
- He was arrested by the police on Faridabad road after an encounter between him and the police.
- Singh, had been posted with the Chief Judicial Magistrate for the last two years.
- He has been sent to police custody for four days.
- He had not slept for the three to four days.
