The police have lodged an FIR against Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Azam Khan for his objectionable ‘khaki underwear’ comment against actor-turned-politician Jaya Prada.
While addressing an election rally on Sunday in Uttar Pradesh’s Rampur constituency, Azam Khan said, “I brought her [Jaya Prada] to Rampur. You are a witness that I did not allow anyone to touch her body. It took you 17 years to identify her real face but I got to know in 17 days that she wears khaki underwear.”
Khan on Monday, however, clarified that he did not make any objectionable remarks against Jaya Prada.
“I will not contest the polls if proven guilty…I haven’t named or insulted anyone and I know what I should say,” Azam Khan told news agency ANI.

On the other hand, BJP candidate Jaya Prada said, “He shouldn’t be allowed to contest elections. Because if this man wins, what will happen to democracy? There’ll be no place for women in society. Where will we go? Should I die, then you’ll be satisfied? You think that I’ll get scared & leave Rampur? But I won’t leave.”
