Haryana Assembly Polls: BJP Releases Second List Of Candidates, Names Contender Against Vinesh Phogat

The Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) has released its second list of candidates for Haryana Assembly elections, adding 21 more names. Until now, the party has declared 87 candidates for the 90-member assembly.


The list of candidates includes Krishna Gahlawat from Rai, Bimla Chaudhary from Pataudi, Manish Grovar from Rohtak, Sanjay Singh from Nuh and Aizaz Khan from Punahana. The party as pitted Captain Yogesh Bairagi against Olympian Vinesh Phogat who is all set to contest from Julana on a Congress ticket.

In the first list that BJP had released of 67 candidates, Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini was fielded from the Ladwa seat.

After the announcement of the first list, at least 12 BJP leaders including cabinet minister Ranjit Singh Chautala, one MLA, and six ex-MLAs, resigned from the party.
