‘I Am Still Younger Than Trump’: Bill Clinton At DNC 2024

Date:

Amid a rousing crowd, Former US President Bill Clinton addressed the Democratic National Convention on Wednesday. He began his speech by lauding President Joe Biden and also took a dig at Donald Trump.

Clinton appreciated and thanked Biden for his courage, compassion, his class, his service and his sacrifice.

Taking a dig at Republican nominee Donald Trump, Clinton said, “Two days ago, I turned 78, I am the oldest man in my family still living, and the only vanity I want to assert is that I am still younger than Donald Trump.”

“Last night, in what I thought was a moving series of events, we nominated Kamala
Harris and Tim Walz. Just think about that—two truly all-American but still
improbable life stories. It could only happen here. Their careers began in
community courtrooms and classrooms. These are two leaders who have spent a
lifetime getting the job done,” added Clinton.

Endorsing the Vice President and Democratic Presidential nominee Kamala Harris, Clinton said, “We need Kamala Harris, the president of joy, to lead us.”

He also appreciated Harris’s working experience at McDonald’s when she was a teenager.  “I’ll be so happy when she actually enters the White House because, at last, she’ll break my record as the president who has spent the most time at McDonald’s,” Clinton said.
