‘If Action Not Taken By Month-End…’: Sachin Pilot’s Ultimatum To Ashok Gehlot Govt

Date:

New Delhi: Rajasthan’s former deputy chief minister and Congress MLA Sachin Pilot, who ended his five-day ‘Jan Sangharsh Yatra’ on Monday has given his own party a 15-day ultimatum to act against the alleged corruption within the previous BJP-led government under Vasundhara Raje.

Pilot threatened to escalate his protest against the current Congress-led government in the state if it failed to address the allegations within 15 days.

“If action is not taken by this month-end, an agitation will be launched across the state,” the former deputy chief minister told a rally.

The Congress leader while talking to ANI said, “We are getting people’s support because our issues are essential. The chief minister is the face of the state, and CM Ashok Gehlot and I will have to unite to fight against cases of corruption. But the Chief Minister has not taken any action. I have been writing letters for a long time to take action against issues of corruption.”

Pilot, was on his Jan Sangharsh Yatra, also demanded termination of the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC), alleging it to be the source of government job paper leaks, and also demanded compensation for those who were affected by the leaks.

When asked about unity in the Congress party, he said, “Neither do I hurl allegations at anyone, nor do I have any rift with anyone on an individual level.”

Pilot had started his five-day ‘Jan Sangharsh Yatra’ on May 11 for “inaction” in alleged cases of corruption against the previous BJP government led by Vasundhara Raje.
